“ZHAS KUAT”
The “Zhas Kuat” program aim toward supporting young athletes in the regions of the Republic by allocating a special scholarship to talented weightlifters.
The program is implemented with the support of Rompetrol Company (KMG International Group).
The main criteria for applicants for the award are:
- Athlete’s age: 1999 year of birth and younger;
- The absence of violations of anti-doping rules by an athlete for an entire athletic career;
- Basic sports category athlete “Candidate Master of Sports” and above;
- The number of athletes from each region: from three to five, depending on the budget of sponsors funds;
- The decision of the regional coaching council to nominate athletes for a scholarship.
The program also provides for the renewal of the material and technical base, as well as the repair in the weightlifting sections of the regional sports institutions.
The program covers all regions of Kazakhstan and aim toward promoting and popularizing weightlifting in the regions, encouraging athletes to achieve high athletic results.
