Zhanat Tusupbekov won the elections

The first day of the Election Congress of the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF) on the eve, on May 29, ended in Bangkok. Zhanat Tusupbekov, the president of the Kazakhstan Federation, won the elections and became one of the Vice-Presidents of the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF).

The Congress highly appreciated the work of Zhanat Tusupbekov as the chairman of the marketing commission from 2015 to 2017, the excellent organizational abilities of the leader of WF RK, in particular the successful marketing company at the last of Olympic Games in Rio and the organization of the international broadcast of the Asian Weightlifting Championship from 2016 . Also, the international sports community has not disregarded the success of the marketing commission to attract targeted sponsorship for those countries where needs support for the development of weightlifting.

Separately high marks were awarded to the work carried out in Kazakhstan, namely the strengthening of the anti-doping discipline (for 2016-2017 there was not a single positive result of the doping test among Kazakhstan athletes in international competitions); mass attraction of children to the sport and improvement of the conditions of the training process.
