Employees of Weightlifting federation of the RK and NOC of Kazakhstan transferred one-day earnings to flood victims in Akmola region.

The help is transferred to the account of the regional public association "Kazakh language and literature" under the Akmola Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan, from where it will be directed to needy families, children and the elderly who proved to be most vulnerable in this situation.

According to the information of Akimat of Akmola region, to date 34 settlements have been affected in 12 districts of Akmola oblast from the spring flood. 948 houses are flooded, 804 houses remain in water. 2 784 people were evacuated to safe places. According to the DES of Akmola region, since the beginning of the flood in Atbasar, 454 apartment houses have been flooded, 1379 persons have been evacuated.

"The Olympic community of Kazakhstan expresses words of support to our compatriots in this difficult situation. We decided to provide financial support to the residents of the affected regions of the country in the hope that in this way we will be able to express our solidarity with those who are in today's difficult life situation and really need help and support", the National Olympic Committee noted. Help is allocated on behalf of the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Confederation of Combat Sports and Strength Sports, which unites the national federations for Olympic sports - boxing, wrestling, judo, taekwondo and weightlifting.
